I hate x. Consider a power of 2. Say 2³, 8. Now consider 7*8=56. Add 1. You get 57. Multiply this by 9. 57*9=513. Subtract 1. 512. which is 2⁹.
Ah! What a beautiful observation. I was ecstatic when I found this. But soon realized that (x*(x+1)+1)*(x+2)=x³.
Hence I hate x.
